Universal Orlando Resort announced Tuesday that a new Fast & Furious ride will join its lineup of attractions on the way in 2017.
The new attraction will have a fresh storyline and "incredible ride technology," Universal's official blog post says. “You’ll board special ride vehicles and take off on adrenaline-pumping ride through the underground racing world," according to the post, written by Michael DoQui.
And of course, the attraction will feature stars from the film, including Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs) and Michelle Rodriguez (Letty).
But a gain for one is a loss for the other. Universal will be shutting down two of their oldest operating attractions. The Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue show and Disaster! (formerly Earthquake) will be closed.
A "Furious" attraction should not come as a surprise. Universal Studios’ Hollywood location unveiled a ride associated with Fast & Furious this past June after the latest film opened in theaters.
