Google+ experienced a brief outage Thursday, prompting users to vent their frustration on social media.
The Google social network was unavailable shortly after 12:30 p.m. ET Thursday. “500. That’s an error,” said a message displayed on the site. “There was an error. Please try again later. That’s all we know,” it added.
Users quickly took to social media to discuss the outage.

Google+ was up and running again at 1:13 p.m. ET.
The search giant tweeted that it is investigating the problem.

Problems with Google Hangouts and Photos were also reported on social media Thursday.
A Google spokeswoman told FoxNews.com that that that there was an issue with Google+, which should now be resolved. Details on what caused the outage have not been released.
