A court has sentenced to death a South Korean man accused of killing 10 people.

An court official in Ansan, south of Seoul, said Kang Ho-sun was convicted and sentenced at a hearing Wednesday.

Kang had been accused of killing eight office workers, karaoke bar employees and university students after abducting them between September 2006 and December 2008. He also was accused of burning to death his wife and mother-in-law in 2005.

Kang worked as a sports massage therapist.
