Woman Accused of Bribing Cop With Sex, Cash to Avoid Arrest

Thursday, July 17, 2008

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. —  Her license plate says it all.

An Iron Mountain, Mich., woman is accused of trying to get out of a drunken driving arrest by offering sex and $10,000 to a Wisconsin Dells police officer.

Witnesses called police last Friday when they saw an intoxicated driver with the Michigan license plate "TROUBLE" leave a Wisconsin Dells parking lot.

A criminal complaint says 30-year-old Elizabeth Ann Kommes was given a sobriety test, was arrested, then made her offer.

Kommes is charged with drunken driving as a fifth offense, bribing a public official and driving with a revoked license.
