Pattaya City, Thailand (SportsNetwork.com) - Daniela Hantuchova is in position to capture the Thailand Open for a third time after a three-set semifinal victory over Marina Erakovic on Saturday.

Hantuchova, who won this tournament in 2011 and 2012, rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) victory and will next play Ajla Tomljanovic, who also needed three sets to advance.

Tomljanovic gutted out a 7-6 (7-4), 5-7, 7-6 (9-7) win over Monica Puig to reach her first career final. The 21-year-old Croat was playing her first career WTA semifinal on Saturday and hadn't been past the second round in any of her first three events of 2015.

The 31-year-old Hantuchova, meanwhile, will carry a 6-9 mark in WTA finals into Sunday's match. She hasn't won a title since capturing the Wimbledon tune-up in Birmingham during the summer of 2013.

Hantuchova and Tomljanovic have split two previous meetings. The Slovak veteran won the first back in 2011 in Quebec City, while Tomljanovic prevailed last year in Sydney.

Sunday's winner will claim $43,000.
