Liverpool, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is facing a three-week layoff after picking up a hamstring injury, the Premier League club confirmed Thursday.
Gerrard was substituted after 68 minutes in the club's 3-2 defeat of Tottenham on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old is awaiting the results of a muscle scan to identify the extent of the injury, but he is expected to miss Liverpool's FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace on Saturday, as well as the club's Europa League clashes with Besiktas and Premier League meetings with Southampton and Manchester City.
