Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees activated pitcher Shawn Kelley from the 15-day disabled list prior to Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
The Yankees optioned pitcher Matt Daley to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Kelley had been on the DL since May 13 with a strained lumbar spine. The right-hander was 1-2 with four saves and a 3.52 ERA in 16 games before the injury.
Daley had no record and a 4.85 ERA in 12 relief appearances this season.
