KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee has added junior college guard Devon Baulkman to its recruiting class.
Baulkman initially signed with Southern Mississippi under coach Donnie Tyndall. After Tyndall left for Tennessee, Baulkman was granted a release. Tennessee announced Tuesday that the 6-foot-5 guard had signed with the Volunteers.
Tyndall called Baulkman a "versatile, long, athletic guy that fits our system really well."
Baulkman, from Bainbridge, Georgia, spent two years at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida. He averaged 15.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals this past season.
He plans to enroll at Tennessee this summer and has two years of eligibility remaining.
Baulkman joins a signing class that includes forward Jabari McGhee, guard Detrick Mostella and junior college guard Kevin Punter.
