Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with former Vikings running back Toby Gerhart.
Best known for backing up Adrian Peterson during his four years in the league, Gerhart was a Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2009 when he ran for 27 touchdowns as a senior at Stanford. He also won the Doak Walker award for best running back in the nation that year.
Gerhart was selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft by Minnesota. In his career, he's racked up 1,305 yards and five touchdowns on 276 carries.
Earlier, Jacksonville released running back Justin Forsett.
