Lukas Rosol earned his first career ATP World Tour title with a straight-set victory over Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in the final of the Nastase Tiriac Trophy tennis event.

Rosol needed just 67 minutes to post a 6-3, 6-2 triumph in Sunday's final. He was playing in his first ATP Tour title match. His best previous result this year was a quarterfinal loss to Jurgen Melzer in Zagreb back in February.

"I will remember this week," said Rosol. "It was very emotional for me and is something special. I found a way to beat some good players and succeed. My family has always supported me and my tennis. I felt match after match, my dream was coming true."

The 27-year-old Czech became the third first-time winner on tour this year, following Bernard Tomic in Sydney and Horacio Zeballos in Vina del Mar.

Rosol took control Sunday midway through the first set, turning a 3-3 match into a rout by winning seven straight games.

Garcia-Lopez, facing Rosol for the first time, fell to 2-2 all-time in finals. The 29-year-old Spaniard was playing a title match for the first time since capturing the Bangkok crown in October 2010. He also won the Kitzbuhel title in 2009.

Rosol, who dropped just one set all week, claimed a first prize of $96,000.
