Macao, China – Juan Francisco Estrada won a split decision over Brian Viloria to claim the WBA and WBO flyweight titles on Saturday.
Estrada won by scores of 116-111 and 117-111 on two cards, while another judge saw it in Viloria's favor by a 115-113 count.
Viloria (32-4, 19 KOs) was making his first defense of the WBA belt he took from Hernan Marquez last November. The Hawaiian had already been the WBO titleholder.
Estrada (23-2, 18 KOs) was coming off a loss to Roman Gonzalez on the undercard of the Viloria/Marquez bout.
