Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has withdrawn from next week's Western & Southern Open after walking into a fire hydrant in Toronto.
"Jo walked into a fire hydrant (sticking out of a building) while walking in the streets, which caused the injury, but his participation at the US Open is not in doubt," Tsonga's agent said in a statement.
Tsonga required eight stitches in his right knee and needs 10 days to recover from the injury.
