The Houston Rockets have reportedly bought out acquired Derek Fisher.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the team will make it official on Monday.

Fisher was acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers at last Thursday's trade deadline and never reported to the Rockets.

The Chronicle has reported that it was never Houston's intention to keep Fisher, a 16-year veteran who won five NBA titles with the Lakers. The paper said Rockets general manager Daryl Morey wouldn't even answer questions about Fisher when addressing his trade-deadline deals.

Houston also picked up a first-round pick in the 2012 draft from the Lakers in exchange for forward-center Jordan Hill last Thursday.
