Seattle, WA – Seattle Sounders FC announced the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Sivebaek on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sivebaek moves to Seattle from Danish side Midtjylland, where he has been a member of the squad since 2006.
In 80 league appearances with Midtjylland, the 23-year-old Sivebaek has tallied six goals, while appearing in 19 matches for Denmark at various youth levels and scoring twice.
"Christian is a player that we have been following for quite some time," said Sounders FC technical director Chris Henderson. "He is a good one versus one dribbler who can provide consistent quality service to our strikers. He has good speed and physical presence.
"He has been an up and coming player in Denmark," added Henderson, "and we are looking forward to adding Christian to our attacking arsenal."
