The 10th-ranked Michigan State Spartans beat ranked Wisconsin Badgers at the Kohl Center for the first time since 2001, but it came with some controversy.

Jordan Taylor made two three-pointers around a pair of Keith Appling free throws to cut Wisconsin's deficit to three, 63-60, late in the first overtime.

Draymond Green was sent to the line with 10.2 seconds left and a chance to ice the game. The senior forward missed both foul shots, giving the Badgers life.

Ryan Evans pulled down Taylor's missed jumper and raced behind the three-point line. He managed to bank the ball off the backboard and into the net, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

But the refs went to replay to see if Evans got the shot off before time expired. According to the clock above the basket, Evans failed to get the shot off before the red light came on. However, the scoreboard clock was different and showed that Evans got the shot off in time.

The refs decided to call off the basket and give Michigan State its 14th straight victory.
