Arlington, TX – The Dallas Cowboys provided safety Gerald year contract extension on Friday.
Financial terms of the pact were not disclosed.
Sensabaugh has totaled 60 tackles, two interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles in 12 games with the Cowboys this season, his third with Dallas.
A fifth-round draft choice by the Jaguars in 2005, the 28-year-old has amassed 338 tackles, 14 picks and two sacks over seven NFL seasons with Jacksonville and Dallas. The Tennessee native and North Carolina product has started 65 of 93 career games.
In other roster news, the Cowboys placed rookie running back Phillip Tanner on injured reserve with a hamstring issue.
The 23-year-old rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in nine games, with two receptions for 19 yards.
Dallas also signed wide receiver Andre Holmes to the active roster.
