Lukas Podolski scored twice as Cologne won 0 over Hannover on Sunday at RheinEnergieStadion for its third win in its last four Bundesliga matches.

Podolski scored in the 24th and 86th - his fifth and six goals of the season - as Cologne moved within four points of second-place Monchengladbach.

Hannover had just one loss in its first eight games, with four wins and three draws in the stretch, but lost its second to slip seven points behind leaders Bayern Munich and two behind Gladbach.

Hamburg 2, Freiburg 1

Freiburg, Germany - Heung-Min Son and Ivo Ilicevic scored and Hamburg won for just the second time so far this season in nine matches, 2-1 over Freiburg at Dreisamstadion on Sunday in the Bundesliga.

Son scored the opener in the 12th minute and, after Papiss Demba Cisse leveled the match in the 47th for Freiburg, Ilicevic bagged the winner in the 73rd.

Cisse, who had 22 goals last season and seven this season, missed a penalty in the 81st as Hamburg held on for the road win.

Hamburg, Freiburg, and Augsburg are all level on seven points at the bottom of the standings.
