Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Jaguars signed former Northern Iowa tight end Schuylar Oordt to their practice squad on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-7, 246-pound Oordt caught 66 passes for 1,229 yards and 12 touchdowns in 51 games at NIU. He signed with the St. Louis Rams as a rookie free agent earlier this year, but was waived on Aug. 28.
Oordt is a native of Parkersburg, Iowa, the same hometown as Jaguars center Brad Meester.
