Any mention of the word ‘Benghazi’ by the Obama administration is guaranteed to get conservatives riled up. Sunday’s appearance by Susan Rice on NBC’s “Meet the Press” is proof positive.

Rice told host David Gregory Sunday that she “has no regrets” about the comments she made in 2012 regarding the Benghazi attack. "What I said to you that morning and what I did every day since, was to share the best information that we had at the time.”

The explanation didn’t sit well with vocal conservatives on Twitter including pols Lindsey Graham, Newt Gingrich, and John McCain, who took to the airwaves to mock Rice.

And a new Fox News poll of 1,006 registered U.S. voters released Friday shows that 50 percent of those surveyed want an official investigation into the Benghazi attack which killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others.

The call-to-action drumbeat reverberated through the Twitterverse.

Meanwhile, seven Egyptian Christians were executed near Benghazi yesterday. According to Reuters, witnesses said unidentified gunmen went door to door asking residents if they were Christian or Muslim. No one came forward claiming responsibility for the attack.
