On Sunday's #Mediabuzz 11 ET:
Corey Lewandowski said, “ … if Matt Gaetz can go into the Justice Department and put the blindfold back on Lady Justice … then this country is going to be better for it,” amid media uproar over the former congressman’s nomination for Attorney General. He also said of the president-elect’s Defense Secretary nominee, “If you took Pete [Hegseth]’s name off of this nomination, … the Left would be praising this …,” and that he does not agree with the nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, RFK Jr., “on every issue he stands on,” but that “it’s time to look at [the country’s health problems] and make America healthy again.”
Tomi Lahren said to those upset about Donald Trump’s appointments, “You’re going to be uncomfortable … There’s going to be moments when you’re going to want to rip your hair out,” but the president-elect has a “mandate from the American electorate.” She also said that she “do[es] not care about” Pete Hegseth’s personal life amid the release of a Washington Post story detailing an NDA and payments to an accuser over allegations he denies, and instead “care[s] about what he’s going to do to reform DoD.”
Philippe Reines said that Tomi Lahren’s dog has a better shot at being confirmed as Attorney General than Matt Gaetz, who is the “perfect pick” if the goal is to “put anyone, whether on MSNBC or Democrats like me, in jail.” He also said that Pete Hegseth lacks government experience, and if Trump “wants to shake things up, you need someone who understands it … never being in government is not helpful.”
Caroline Downey said that media liberals are “having some ‘mea culpas’” after losing the election so decisively “because they’re realizing that … the American people were at the kitchen table … while the Democrats were off on some weird woke planet.” She also said that RFK Jr. “has outlandish theories [and] bizarre extracurricular activities,” but the issues he raises about health in America are “legitimate … for many Americans.”
Lucy Caldwell said that Elon Musk’s position at the head of D.O.G.E., a new commission to cut waste, “is a conflict of interest,” and “it probably was a mistake” for Kamala Harris to not go on Joe Rogan’s podcast before the election. She also said that RFK Jr. “is a wacko, and he will be a very frightening and off-the-reservation head of all of our health if that [nomination for HHS Secretary] goes through.”
