Ben Domenech said that “it was a mistake for Donald Trump” to initially nominate Matt Gaetz for attorney general before he ultimately withdrew from the process, adding that the firebrand Florida ex-congressman is “unqualified to do any job”. He also said that Fox News host and Trump nominee for defense secretary Pete Hegseth “is one of the nicest people in media” and that he has “faith in Pete” amid sexual assault allegations made against him.

Leslie Marshall said that it was “the right thing” for Gaetz to withdraw his nomination and that while Trump’s new attorney general nominee Pam Bondi has the relevant experience for the role, she is still concerned about the former Florida AG’s “loyalty to [Trump] over the Constitution.” She also said that as a victim of rape herself, “there’s a reason 1 in 10 rapes go unreported” when explaining why she believes the sexual assault allegations against Hegseth.

Lisa Boothe said that “the question of [COVID-19] being used for nefarious purposes is fair” in response to a resurfaced 2020 speech of RFK Jr. asserting that the pandemic may have been planned by the government. She also said that the attempt to postpone Trump’s New York criminal case “is sort of expected at this point” after all the “legal warfare against him,” and that “the media is actually out of touch with the American people” in its coverage of transgender issues, after the election of the first openly transgender member of Congress motivated Congresswoman Nancy Mace to push for a ban on transgender women’s access to women’s restrooms at the Capitol.

Kevin Corke said of RFK Jr. apologizing to his former live-in nanny but denying any memory of the groping she accused him of, “Would I apologize for something if I definitely didn’t think I did it? I don’t think I would.” He also said that Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg’s attempt to postpone Trump’s hush money sentencing until 2029 “is an acknowledgment … that this is very, very likely to be thrown out anyway,” and that Nancy Mace pushing a ban on transgender women’s access to women’s bathrooms is part of an issue “that women feel very strongly about … they deserve to be heard on this one.”

Charlie Gasparino said that “traditional media did not do its job,” and in the face of alternate media like podcasts and Substack, “companies are going to have to adapt, and they already are,” as in the case of Comcast spinning off most of its cable networks. He also said that while it’s fair to raise questions about whether Elon Musk’s position atop a new waste commission poses a conflict of interest, “he … delivers,” and “what used to be a conflict is now a synergy.”
