A Westchester mom is suing Equinox and Nordic Cryotherapy, claiming a botched treatment in the freezing chamber left her with severe injuries from frostbite.
Cherie Glassman, 50, was a regular at the Armonk Equinox where she was invited to try celebrity-endorsed cryotherapy from a mobile treatment center in June, her attorney, Ben Rubinowitz, told The Post.
Cryotherapy — in which a client enters a 300-degrees-below-zero capsule for a few minutes — is supposed to ease pain and enhance your mood.
“They’re putting people in this chamber, which is supposed to help them as far as recovery and health benefits; it did the exact opposite,” Rubinowitz said.

“The skin can’t tolerate that type of freezing. She was complaining and they ignored her complaints. It was just so poorly run,” he added.
Glassman “suffered severe and permanent burns to her body and limbs,” and needed skin grafts, the lawsuit filed in Manhattan says.
She has permanent scarring to the arms and torso, Rubinowitz said, adding: “She’s still trying to recover.”
Celebs including Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James are cryotherapy adherents, but the treatment came under scrutiny after it resulted in the death of a woman in Nevada two years ago.
Reps for Equinox and New York-based Nordic Cryotherapy did not immediately comment.
