A 7-year-old girl who was left in a coma after a brain hemorrhage miraculously woke up after her mother sang her an Adele song playing on the radio, The Telegraph reported.

According to the Telegraph, Charlotte Neve from the U.K. had a poor prognosis for survival after undergoing two operations to stop the bleeding in her brain, which was caused by a health problem she was born with.

Her mother Leila Neve reportedly climbed onto the hospital to hug her one last time when Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” began playing on the radio – a song they used to sing together.

The Telegraph said Charlotte began to smile, shocking doctors. Within two days, she was speaking and getting up from her bed.

Two months later, she is re-learning how to walk and talk and has regained partial sight.

“How she's still here is beyond everybody,” Neve told the Telegraph. “I was told that she was very lucky to survive. A day or two after the Adele incident, doctors took took the drain out of Charlotte's head to see whether she could function without it and she literally went from smiling and being giddy to standing up in bed. It was a miracle.”
