When Besley went to cook the frozen patties, according to the lawsuit, she claims she followed the “fry” package instructions: “Preheat skillet on medium heat. Cook frozen burgers in a small amount of vegetable oil 7-9 minutes per side.”

However, the Wilkinsburg woman claims that when she placed the burger on the heated oil, it exploded while cooking and caused burns and permanent scarring to both of her hands and forearms, WTAE reported.

Besley is reportedly seeking more than $35,000 in damages from the August 2018 incident.

Aldi did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
