Girl Scout Cookies season has arrived but instead of washing those Tagalongs and Samoas down with a glass of milk, consider a more adult beverage.
At a Vacaville, Calif. location of The Brass Tap, patrons can enjoy a flight of craft beers paired with an array of Girl Scout cookies.
With their distinctive chocolate and coconut flavor, Samoas apparently pair well with a lighter, fruity beer. The Brass Tap recommends New Glory's Mandarin Coconut Gose-- a tart and fresh wheat ale with just a hint of coconut.
If you're a shortbread lover and can't get enough Trefoils, make sure to keep some Lagunitas Stoopid Wit nearby. "The wheat beer here is really light and a little bready," Vacaville's Brass Tap co-owner Danny Jackson told FOX 40.
Of course, plenty of people can't resist the combination of chocolate and peanut butter so they go for Tagalongs. With that, Jackson recommends Track 7 Brewing Company's Nuckin Futz, a rich American porter that's brewed with peanut butter and smoked malts.
Founded by Jeff Martin in Tampa, Florida in 2008, The Brass Tap is a craft beer bar with 60 taps and 200 varieties of local, national and international beers. In San Antonio, The Brass Tap is also offering a similar Girl Scout cookie pairing.
