Police authorities in Park City, Utah, the site of the annual Sundance Film Festival, are bringing back a hotline intended to combat sexual assault, TMZ reported.
The hotline was first launched last year in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein allegations. Park City PD and the Utah Attorney General’s Office are reopening the “code of conduct” hotline and spreading the word for festival attendees to use it to report any signs of sexual misconduct.
The outlet also reported that police officers met with hotel managers and event security staff last week to go over proper protocols and reinforce their motto: “If you see something, say something.”
The Sundance hotline reportedly led to an investigation of an alleged incident from the ’90s. The phone number is 801-834-1944.
That same number was also used as a hotline for the FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention last September. Utah’s Attorney General’s office announced that the FanX hotline received two calls regarding complaints about sexual harassment/assaults over the weekend, which were relayed back to Salt Lake City PD for further investigation.
