Saint Nick left ESPN’s Sara Cardona something extra special underneath her tree this year: boyfriend Eric Saubert.
The Nashville-based sideline reporter, who was previously linked to the son of fellow sportscaster Cris Collinsworth, made her relationship with the Atlanta Falcons tight end Instagram official over the holidays, as the couple adorned Santa hats in front of the Christmas tree. Saubert, 23, also shared the same snap on his social media feed with the caption, “¡Feliz Navidad!”
The now public pair are likely to post the expected New Year’s Eve selfie on Dec. 31, but Cardona dropped hints about her NFL allegiance to Saubert back in November.
“Dirty birds get the W @tekavec_chels @megsjimenez,” Cardona wrote on Instagram from inside Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Weeks later, Cardona rocked a denim jacket on the Falcons home turf with Saubert’s number, 85, stitched on the back.
Much like Cardona, who made her ESPN debut covering college basketball in February, Saubert also got his big break this year after the Falcons selected the Drake University product in the fifth round of the 2017 draft, with the 174th-overall pick.
Saubert is the third-string tight end on the Falcons’ depth chart, behind starter Austin Hooper and Levine Toilolo.
