On the night Marilu Henner was eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars," her pro dancer Derek Hough revealed she was full of surprises behind the scenes. The "Taxi" actress even doled out sex advice!
Hough, 31, told reporters backstage that he learned many things from the veteran star, 64, including the meaning of the word physiognomy and "how to get rid of a bruise by rubbing it out with a pencil eraser.
"Oh, the other ones are sexual tips and I can't, I can't," Hough then stammered.
Standing by his side, Henner smiled, "I'm so matter of fact about this stuff."
Hough, who has been dating fellow "DWTS" hoofer Hayley Erbert, exclaimed, "My favorite--she was like, she's like, 'I've gotta teach your girlfriend how to do this one.' I was like, whoa, okay. Hey!"
Hough didn't elaborate, but Henner added, "We had a blast."
Well, most of the time. The actress was sent home on Monday night's "DWTS" after she had a rough couple of weeks on the show.
During week seven, Henner fell while performing in a group dance.
And last Monday, on Halloween week eight, she and Hough scored only 23 for their tango, and were beaten in the "dance off" by Ryan Lochte and partner Cheryl Burke. However, Lochte was the one sent packing that time.
Footage aired last Monday from the previous week also appeared to show tension between Henner and her partner. But Hough told FOX411 there were no problems and he was merely reassuring Henner about their preparation.
On Monday, the two received a healthy 36 out of 40 for their "Jersey Boys" themed samba on Broadway night and also 36 for their team-up challenge with Terra Jole and partner Sasha Farber. Henner's pal Idina Menzel was a guest judge this week and praised Marilu. Still, Henner's cumulative Monday numbers put her in last place.
When asked if she expected her elimination, good sport Henner admitted to FOX411, "I did [but] it's so okay and good. I had this week and this week was just golden.
"This has been a great experience, different than I thought but even better. You learn your strengths and you learn your weaknesses, physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically. You see what's important….as an actress, you compete but you never compete like this. You're not looking at competition in the same room."
Hough explained that the judges holding up paddles was "a completely different dynamic" for Henner. "We'll be doing a step, [I told her], 'no, you have keep this down.' Whereas when you're on Broadway or in a show, they don't really correct those things because it really doesn't matter. But when you're being judged on it, those little things count."
Already thin before starting "DWTS," Henner, who follows a strict vegan diet, said she lost five or six pounds and "probably some body fat" while doing the show.
Hough told reporters, "We need to go eat some food 'cause I lost weight, too, and I was like, 'Babe, let's go have a big meal somewhere, seriously.' "
