Filmmaker Michael Moore is urging Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to take some time off to recuperate from the pneumonia her camp says led to a medical incident on Sunday morning, when Clinton was videotaped looking unsteady on her feet while getting into a waiting van after leaving early from a 9/11 event in New York City.
"Hillary: U need to REST. Take the wk off. Take 2. Let the rest of us pull the weight. Every1 can do a little. Who's w/ me? Tweet #IWorkHRest," Moore tweeted to his 2.9 million followers.
Moore also criticized Clinton's campaign team for keeping her condition hidden.
"Well, pneumonia. That's serious. Campaign kept it hidden Fri/Sat/Sun. No wonder the crazies get traction. Dems are pros at losing elections," Moore wrote.
He even took her handlers at the event to task for their lackadaisacal behavior.
"No husband, no Huma, SS looking like keystone cops & pathetic campaign hacks more concerned about blocking view of cameras than helping her," he wrote in one tweet.
"Feel so sorry for Hillary. Watch the video of her at van. Hardly any1 helping her. Just 1 woman on her arm at 1st. Men just standing around," he added in another.
The liberal filmmaker upset Democrats back in July when he said he though Trump would win the presidency.
On a special edition of “Real Time with Bill Maher” filmed during the Republican National Convention, Moore said: “I’m sorry to have to be the buzzkill here so early on, but I think Trump is going to win.”
Moore told Business Insider last December he thought Trump would become the Republican nominee.
“Donald Trump is absolutely going to be the Republican candidate for president of the United States," he said. "It’s going from being a joke to being a serious reality.”
