Tracy Morgan is "just happy to be alive."
ET's Leanne Aguilera caught up with the 46-year-old actor at Saturday's Creative Arts Emmys, where he was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance on "Saturday Night Live," and according to the actor, just being nominated means more than we could ever know.

In June 2014, a vehicle carrying Morgan was struck by a Walmart tractor-trailer. The accident left the comedian in critical condition, and doctors feared that Morgan would never fully recover, as he sustained a severe brain injury, as well as a broken leg, nose and ribs.
Two years later, Morgan says "it means everything" to come back from his accident with an Emmy nomination.
"I came back from a place that nobody thought I was going to come back from, you know? This is for all the survivors and my boy, Jimmy Mack, [James McNair, who died in the accident] and it means a lot to me," he said. "It really means a lot to me just to be alive. So I've transcended show business in that sense. I'm just happy to be alive."

Morgan's wife, Megan Wollover, stood by his side throughout his recovery, and accompanied him on Saturday's red carpet.
"She's my strength, she's my wisdom. That's my lady, that's my wife, and all of that is self-explanatory," the "30 Rock" star said of what it means to have his wife's support.
And while Morgan has several projects on the horizon, for now, he's just living day by day.
"What's next at this point? I'm just going to say one word, it's self-explanatory: tomorrow."

The actor opened up to ET about his recovery last November, crediting his daughter, Maven, for helping him learn to walk again.
"Me and [Maven] started walking at the same time," Morgan said. "When my daughter started walking, she took me and Moms [Morgan's wife Megan Wollover] right there, first step. I was in the wheelchair and I said, 'I'm walking, too,' and a week later I was standing."
