Working with Steven Spielberg is not all it's chalked up to be, according to Shia LaBeouf.

The actor admitted to Variety that he was disappointed when he finally achieved his dream of working with the famous director.

"I grew up with this idea, if you got to Spielberg, that's where it is," LaBeouf told Variety.

But when the time came for LaBeouf to work with the "Jaws" director, the actor was let down.

"You get there, and you realize you're not meeting the Spielberg you dream of," LaBeouf said. "You're meeting a different Spielberg, who is in a different stage in his career. He's less a director than he is a f---king company."

The former child actor added that he felt stifled by Spielberg's approach.

"Spielberg's sets are very different. Everything has been so meticulously planned. You got to get this line out in 37 seconds. You do that for five years, you start to feel like not knowing what you're doing for a living."

The 30-year-old did however, enjoy working on "Transformers" with Spielberg.

"I don't like the movies that I made with Spielberg," he said adding, "The only movie that I liked that we made together was 'Transformers' one."
