Candace Cameron Bure explained Christmas is about more than receiving gifts, it's about giving them.
"Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and its so special, so meaningful," Bure told FOX & Friends. "With my family...we go to a homeless shelter in the morning when we wake up on Christmas...and serve 30-40 people, sit down eat with them, and share the gospel message. It's what we do."
The former "Full House" star has a full house of her own now; the actress has 3 children with her former professional hockey player husband Valeri Bure.
The couple of more than two decades brought their children up to appreciate the true meaning of Christmas, she said.
"[There's] nothing wrong with gift giving at all," explained Bure. "But we like to give the gift first and share the message of Jesus Christ and then give presents after."
Bure stars in "Christmas Under Wraps" premiering Saturday on Hallmark.
