Bristol Palin has left the glitz and glamour of Hollywood – permanently.
“I wasn’t really into the Hollywood thing,” Pailn told In Touch of her move back to Wasilla, Alaska after a brief flirtation with showbiz.
Palin moved to Los Angeles to compete on “Dancing With the Stars” and was in the middle of filming a reality show for the BIO channel last September when a pivotal incident changed her mind about fame.
The 21-year-old was confronted by a man who hurled vile insults about her her mother, Sarah Palin, after a ride on a mechanical bull at the Saddle Ranch Bar in West Hollywood. “After that, I just realized that I was over it. I was ready to come home.”
Palin also wanted to leave Tinseltown for the sake of her three-year-old son, Tripp.
“He’s going to be starting preschool soon, so we needed to settle into a routine,” she explained. “When we’re here, Tripp is outside all the time… his cheeks are always bright red!”
Mama grizzly Sarah Palin is delighted to have her daughter and grandson living at home – or, at least in the apartment below the TV studio on her property. “It’s great having Bristol here,” the elder Palin told In Touch. “She makes good decisions, and she’s always thinking long-term about her and Tripp’s future.”
Meanwhile, Bristol Palin’s baby daddy, Levi Johnston, who also sought fame in the Lower 48 as an author, model and Playgirl centerfold, has also moved back to Wasilla.
Despite being a short truck drive away from the Palin compound, Johnston is reportedly not doing anything to help raise his son. “He’s not using his visitation, and he’s not paying his child support,” said Palin.
