While most emerging artists these days are desperate for instant stardom, it is refreshing to see that there are is at least one musician left who is seeking more than her fifteen minutes, taking years to complete one two-minute music video.

Meet Kina Grannis, the social media star and singer who recently unveiled her unprecedented music video for her song “In Your Arms,” a stop motion animation made from more than a quarter of a million Jelly Belly jellybeans.

And yes, it took two years to create.

“We never expected it to take that long so it definitely got frustrating at times. But we all believed in it so much and we were so invested in it,” Grannis told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “And it was cool because at the end of every day we could see the progress we made, so that helped a little bit.”

"In Your Arms" was made from 288,000 Jelly Belly jelly beans, spread throughout 2,460 frames, filmed across 1,357 hours and, as the final frame of the video suggests, also included exactly one Miss Grannis.

“Basically, he (director Greg Jardin) built a little cable casing so each individual frame of the video would be projected down onto this little table, and then people would spend the next hour placing the jellybeans in to coordinate with the picture,” she explained. “Then they put a piece of plexi glass down and then I would lie down on top of that and we would spend the next fifteen minutes getting me into an exact position and then we take a picture and then we start all over again, so it was pretty tedious.”

Now that’s dedication.

And if this is an exemplar of the California native’s work ethic, there’s probably a good chance we’ll be seeing a lot more of Grannis – who joined YouTube in 2007 while still in high school as a means to share her sweetly melancholy music with the world, and ended up winning a Doritos-sponsored Super Bowl contest and having her video shared with millions more.

“I made a decision that I was going to use this opportunity to put every single thing I have into getting my music out there into the world, regardless of the outcome, win or lose,” she added. “That part wasn’t the issue, let me just use it as an excuse for the next month or two months, everything I do is going to be about getting my music out there.”
